Weekliii Round-Up: News on the New Marco App for ArcGIS Pro and Server-Side Web Development

Updated: Dec 19, 2019

There's a brand new Marco on the block! This week we introduced your new go-to solution for managing spatial data and projects in ArcGIS Pro. Learn more about the Integrated Marco Commander for Pro toolkit, including how it can be used in conjunction with the standard Integrated Marco Commander application for better ArcGIS migration workflows. Let's explore!

As companies move Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and enterprise data away from ArcMap and towards ArcGIS Pro, many have faced the challenge of reconciling these disparate data formats. For instance, ArcMap projects are based on ArcGIS Map Documents (.mxd) and utilize the .lyr format of Layer Files while ArcGIS Pro employs ArcGIS Pro Map Projects (.aprx) and a platform-specific Layer File format (.lyrx). The Integrated Marco Commander applications are intended to aide professionals in more seamless migrations of these projects.
